Welcome to the Flatbed Felix Pedal Car Build! In this first episode, we introduce the talented team bringing this exciting project to life. Leading the charge is Vaughan, a master metalworker and co-founder of MotorRetro, a Sydney-based car restoration workshop. He’ll be your guide through the entire fabrication process. Alongside him is Georgio, our welding expert and the other half of MotorRetro, who’ll break down the key welding techniques used throughout the build. Rounding out the crew is Ezio, a woodworking teacher and close friend of the team, who brings his timber craftsmanship to the mix. We're building Flatbed Felix to celebrate 95 years of Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse, and to help pass on the fading art of metal shaping, fabrication, and woodworking to the next generation. Whether you’re into classic cars, bikes, or just love making things by hand, the skills you’ll see in this series are practical, transferable, and fun to learn.
