Next, he installs the steering column rod and attaches the wooden steering wheel, making slight modifications to ensure a perfect fit. Vaughan then assembles the steering arms and braces, before welding the steering lock bracket centrally to the steering arm, enabling smooth, full-range steering motion. Tools You'll Need To follow along, you’ll need a tape measure, square, scriber or marker, hole punch, hammer, linisher, power drill and drill set, T-dolly, vice, press brake bender, welder, angle gauge, and a workbench.
